I Dream in McQueen

Alexander McQueen Fall 2009 Ready-to-Wear

For some reason I keeping thinking about a dream I had where I saw this. Except it was completely red. It was supposed to be a sign from two friends, who were wanted criminals. A woman appeared on my front yard, out of smoke, out of nowhere. Amusingly, I woke up knowing exactly what collection the dress was from, Alexander McQueen FW 2009.

Before Reading this, do you know where your turkey is?

my turkey is in my fridge, taking up most of the space

(hand-me-down black T, belt, and jeans, old navy dress)

I apologize there is no explanation for the am poses or face expressions

the umbrella I'm posing with is American Girl

this picture is huge because I love it

just some random red cloth i found and put on my head

those are apples. in the second picture i wanted the apple to stay still so it would look like that thing with the boy with the arrow through the apple on his head. it started to fall but the picture turned out decent.

the lighting in this picture screams 'I'm in a dark room and all the light is coming from the spaceship that I'm looking at' I love making up stories based on pictures.

  • when I got dressed all I knew was I wanted to wear a dress
  • in most of these pictures I have the dress tucked into my pocket(s)
  • I love this belt but for some reason haven't worn in the longest time. It had been sitting in a bag for almost a year. I hadn't lost it, I just hadn't felt like retrieving it
  • i love all these pictures especially the one where I'm covering my face with the umbrella. for some reason it makes me think of China
Have a great Thanksgiving where you enjoy your food and are thankful. That is the whole point, right?

note. about the post with the holey shirt, i wasn't really angry i felt like saying that. freedom of expression

Irony in the Form of Cheese

These pictures are semi-old (I'm 99% sure they're from Tuesday). This diy scarf is one of my favorite things. It's made from the bottom of a peasant skirt, I still haven't worn the remaining skirt yet. It looks really cool because there are about three layers and then the rest is just a slip. Ironically, I was going to throw out the remaining piece of fabric, then i saw it's potential as a scarf.
The scarf just wears wonderfully and if you fold over the top the right way it makes this really neat collar thing. Wearing it I felt like I could join the circus which made it the perfect morning to listen to Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! by the Beatles while walking to the bus. I actually ended up listening to the whole album, Sgt. Pepper (while on the bus).
Later I wore this to see Disney's A Christmas Carol, which was amazing! The animation was so beautiful and the whole movie was pretty dark. I've always loved Victorian era England/London and this movie was just another reason to love that time period.

It's all in the Details

The necklace is a gift. The shirt I destroyed. A wonderful way to take out anger.

Bjork

Bjork is one of my favorite singers plus, there are some really amazing photos of her. If you haven't already heard of her just use a search engine of your choice and search her. You'll probably recognize her from when she wore the famous swan dress. The last picture is from one of my favorite music videos ever, Army of Me. It starts out with this truck driver (Bjork) who has a toothache and then goes to the dentist, who is really a gorilla. Then she goes to this museum and starts running around looking for someone. It ends with this big explosion. Really amazing but extremely difficult to find on YouTube.

The Beating of the Drum

This picture is almost a week old, and it's definitely not one of my favorites but i still felt like posting it. The thing on my head is actually a faux fur collar that I took off of from a denim jacket. It wasn't long enough to fit around my head, so I found some string that looks like fishing wiring. I threaded the string through the buttons that are supposed to connect to the jacket and then tied it around my head. And no, it's not really green, I edited the picture.

Getting distracted by thinking of you

Don't I look hand less in this picture? ^^^^^

These first three pictures were edited using picnik

Sorry about my head being so blurred out in these pictures, i didn't feel like wasting my battery life on flash.

(F21 white shirt, Kohl's patterned top, old navy black shorts, wet seal leggings, and random necklace)
Sorry for the bombardation of pictures, I didn't realize that this many were good. I got this blouse in the summer and wore it less than 5 times and now i think I'll wear it twice that in the winter. It has a really pretty sleeves and falls really nicely. Halloween rocked and I'll be enjoying my candy till January. Still, time has been going so fast I can't believe it's already November. Which is not an excuse to start playing Christmas music and that they are already filling stores with toys. Fall is an excuse to layer on upon another layer, eat hot food and curl up in front of a fire with a good book. Cause you all know you have fire places.

hopefully my future posts will be more frequent, I know I keep lying about this but this time I think I will. I've mastered the art of making temporary tripods (except they don't usually have three legs).

All That I'm Saying

(Hand-me-down dress, gifted sweater, F21 leggings, Target belt and boots, Mom's old necklace)

This is what I wore to my friends birthday party yesterday. It was a murder mystery and everyone was a different character with different clothing suggestions. I was told to wear chunky sweater and it just seemed like destiny to wear this cloud sweater that I've had since I was 3. Luckily for me my character was the murderer (insert cynical evil laugh). Funny thing this dress, I actually wore it 3 years ago for Christmas. Yesterday when getting dressed I just randomly tried it on. It was basically shapeless and, then I added the pick belt and the velvet just bunched up perfectly. Ahh velvet. I think I'm going to have to find some more to add to my wardrobe, it's just so soft to pet!
Please don't use anything that I've written without asking or take any of the pictures that I've taken without asking me. If I'm using a picture or words (that you think are yours) of yours that you don't want up just ask and it will come down faster than you can say supercalifregaliousexpeladouicos.
